Tuesday night, February 25th, 2020, inshaAllah

(depending on moonsighting, it could be Monday the 24th instead)

is our next remote khalwah, insha'llah, in observance of the first night of Rajab.

As salaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

Thank you so much for joining your brothers and sisters around the world insha'allah in this blessed night of prayer!

Sidi traditionally gave us permission us to make khalwah on this holy night and we will continue that tradition again this year, inshallah.    Salima Adelstein will be praying for all the beloveds making retreat this night, inshaAllah.

This is a night to ask Allah’s forgiveness and to ask Allah for whatever you want. Prayers made on these nights receive special attention from our Beloved Allah.  See more practices for Rajab.

The sacrifice is very important for this khalwah. Please give what you can, and not more. The customary sacrifice is $250.

You are welcome to make khalwah at home. Please consider hosting local beloveds and doing this khalwah in groups, if you are able.

Please REGISTER by SENDING YOUR GENEROUS SACRIFICES to:

  1. SSC, PO Box 100, Pope Valley, CA 94567 (with a note that it is for the khalwa so it goes into Sidi's account, please).

  2. Or use the green online Donate button. (below right).  The Murshid or Murabbi Ruhi will be automatically notified of your participation.

May you have a khalwa filled with the Mercy, Compassion, Love and Guidance of our Beloved. Alhamdulillah that you can join us on this holy night of retreat with our Lord.

You may begin after Mahgrib prayer.  Instructions are in the right side-bar.

When the worshipper has duly performed his salat on the first night of Rajab, he is recommended to offer the following Du’a:

“O Allah, to You the applicants apply this night, to You the aspirants aspire, and for Your gracious bounty and beneficence the seekers look in hope. You have special favors [nafahat] to bestow this night, and prizes and gifts and presents.

You will bestow them upon whomever You choose from among Your servants, and You will withhold them from those who are not ready to receive Your providential care ['inaya].

Well, here am I, Your servant who is sorely in need of You, hoping for Your gracious bounty and beneficence!

If it pleases You, O my Master [Ya Maulaa-ya], to bestow Your Grace this night upon one of Your creatures, and if You will be so generous as to grant him/her a favor out of Your kindness, then bless Sayyidina Muhammad and his family, and let me enjoy Your Superabundance and Beneficence, Ya Rabbal-'Aalameen!”

In 2014 he said: "You can make retreat...and I send my spirit to help...anyone who likes to pray on these holy nights. Important to read the Qur'an and pray and remember the Name of Allah, this is my advice for anyone who likes to be beloved for Allah. This is very holy thing and Allah He help anyone who makes these things. When person reads the Qur'an this is like praying, ten times my love, this is deep praying!"
